TCJ assessment

A fresh and expressive Listán Negro, led by vivid dark fruit and a subtle saline note. The fruit has good presence, but freshness keeps the wine fluid and balanced throughout the palate.

Listán Negro is one of the varieties deeply connected to the viticultural identity of the Canary Islands, and Viñátigo has built much of its work around preserving and expressing the archipelago’s native grapes. Grown on Tenerife’s volcanic landscape, the variety provides important context for a wine that feels distinctly connected to its origin.

The balance is particularly convincing. Fresh dark fruit remains at the center, while the light saline character adds another dimension without dominating the wine. A clear and well-defined expression of a variety that remains closely associated with the identity of the Canary Islands.
