TCJ assessment

A particularly well-balanced Fino, with salinity providing a clear line through the palate. Despite the intensity associated with the style, everything feels integrated and composed.

Tres Palmas represents an extended-aged expression of Tio Pepe, selected by González Byass from barrels where the flor has become extremely delicate after years of biological ageing. That prolonged maturation places the wine at the boundary between an aged Fino and the more oxidative development that follows, providing important context for its additional depth and complexity.

What stands out most is how naturally these elements come together. Salinity, maturity and structure coexist without compromising the wine’s balance. A distinctive expression of aged Fino, with considerable character but a particularly harmonious overall profile.
