TCJ assessment

A wine defined by the fluidity of its fruit and an immediate sense of freshness. There is real persistence on the palate, but without relying on weight or excessive concentration. Instead, the wine moves with remarkable ease.

Ponce is produced in Manchuela by Juan Antonio Ponce, whose work has become closely associated with Bobal and with a more precise interpretation of the variety. That context is particularly relevant here, as the wine shows how Bobal can deliver presence and personality while retaining freshness and elegance.

There is something particularly compelling about the proportions of the wine. Fruit, freshness and persistence work together naturally, resulting in a composed and highly elegant expression. A great wine, with identity and a distinctive sense of movement on the palate.
