TCJ assessment

A classical expression of Toro, with concentration and structure immediately defining the wine. It carries the power expected from the style, but the overall impression remains balanced rather than excessive.

Numanthia is made entirely from Tinta de Toro, the local expression of Tempranillo, and comes from old, low-yielding vineyards in Toro. The combination of mature vines and the region’s naturally powerful raw material provides important context for the density and structural character of the wine.

What works particularly well in the 2019 is the balance. There is plenty of concentration and presence, but the different elements remain composed and integrated. A solid and recognizable expression of both Numanthia and the classical side of Toro.
