TCJ assessment

A remarkably well-evolved Chardonnay, still showing clear fruit and good acidity more than a decade after the vintage. Maturity has added complexity without taking away the freshness that keeps the wine alive and defined.

The oak is now completely integrated into the wine, contributing texture and depth rather than standing apart from the fruit. The palate feels harmonious and composed, with the different elements brought together naturally by time in bottle.

A particularly pleasant surprise at this stage of its evolution. The 2013 demonstrates how well the combination of fruit, acidity and structure has carried the wine through its development, resulting in a mature Russian River Valley Chardonnay with considerable vitality.
