TCJ assessment

An immediately distinctive Croatian red, marked by an unusual fruit profile led by ripe guava. The palate combined mature fruit with balanced acidity, maintaining freshness and definition without losing its Mediterranean character.

The vineyards of Primošten occupy an extreme coastal landscape, where vines grow among limestone and dolomite rocks close to the Adriatic Sea. That origin provides important context for the wine’s personality, but its most memorable quality was the singularity of the fruit.

The result was expressive and well balanced, with enough freshness to support the ripe profile and give the wine a clear identity.
