**TCJ assessment**

A straightforward Pinot Grigio with good fruit at the center of the wine. There is a slight bitterness that adds some contrast, although the palate also carries a noticeable sense of warmth that limits its freshness.

Trumpeter is produced by Rutini Wines, one of the historic names of Argentine wine, whose origins date to Felipe Rutini's first winery in Mendoza in 1885\. Today, much of the producer's work is centered in the Uco Valley, and this Pinot Grigio comes from Tupungato, one of Mendoza's important high-altitude wine-growing areas.

The fruit is pleasant and the wine is technically correct, but there is less tension and definition than in the strongest wines of this tasting. The warmer impression ultimately has more influence on the overall balance, leaving a simple and direct expression of the variety.
