Domaine Les Astrelles Gevrey-Chambertin 2022 opened with red fruit and floral notes, led by cherry, raspberry and violet, with touches of spice in the background.

The palate combined a velvety texture with notable intensity, structure and concentration. Medium-plus acidity brought definition, while fine but clearly marked tannins gave the wine a firm frame.

What distinguished it was the way power and precision remained aligned. The fruit was expressive but never loose, and the wine maintained a controlled, elegant profile throughout the tasting. Still developing, it showed depth without sacrificing clarity or detail.
